I did upper body for an hour, then did about 20 minutes of the abs dvd....from a chair. Now, this is not something that I came up with. There is a Zumba instructor that lives in Ohio that teaches Zumba from a chair, and I heard that her class is very intense! This is what I am going to be doing for the next week while I am resting my foot. I want to throw in a few sessions of Pilates, too. Pilates is so good for your body! It helps to lengthen your body, along with building strength and helping with posture. My Zumba instructor has the most amazing arms because she does (and teaches) Pilates. This will be good to get some strength and toning in!
Oh, I just have to post this. A while back, my son and I pulled into a gas station not far from our house, and when we parked, there was this 4-wheeler parked in front with a dog sitting on it! He was being very obedient and patiently waiting for his master. It was the cutest thing I have ever seen! Here is a pic:
When the guy came out, I had my window down and I asked him how he trained his dog to do that! He said that he has always loved to go riding on the 4-wheeler and is so good about staying there. I thought this was pretty awesome, especially where I am such an animal lover :)
My foot is actually feeling better. I had it iced and elevated most of the day. I did go outside at one point and mowed the lawn on our riding mower. I love doing that! It is so relaxing to me. Just get on the thing and go! Plus I love the smell of fresh cut grass. My dogs went outside shortly after I mowed, and now they all have green little feet! LOL
I will be looking forward to getting some top of the line, new shoes this weekend. I am going back to the Dr. tomorrow and he should have some good shoe inserts for me. But I must say, I sure do miss my classes and people that come. I have become very attached to my students and love helping them and making them happy through Zumba. Since I have been down, I have been working on some new routines (only in my head and through dvd's! Not on my feet) and I am excited to teach some fresh material.
I am ready for bed folks. Hope you all had a great day. Peace and love to you! Muuwwahh!
